I made sure Fugo was settled and alright this morning, and made sure Kakyoin got breakfast. [Something not just edible, 'kay.] And just now, I put Haruno down for a nap.
If the others need anything before he wakes up, you'll take care of it?
[Last thing he wants is for Haruno to wake up alone. He might be used to it, but Bruno doesn't care to perpetuate it even if he's only a few rooms away.]
[Suits him just fine. Polnareff jams his watch in his pocket and makes his way down the hall. A moment, and then he eases Giorno's door open, ducking his head in.
It's not the usual vivid grin that Bruno might have expected. No, Polnareff's expression is soft now, as his eyes dart over the room and land on Bruno.]
Hey.
[So too is his voice soft. He's got no intention of waking the kid, clearly, even as he slips into the room proper and closes the door behind him.]
[As it so happens, even if Bruno wanted to leave the room while Haruno napped, it'd be unlikely he could do so without disturbing him. Haruno is under the blankets unlike Bruno, but he's curled in close and tight to Bruno's side. Bruno reflects the smile, keeping his voice low and quiet.]
[Just as gently, Polnareff edges onto the bed. He's not going to try to wedge in on Bruno's other side (at least: not yet), but at least he can sit by their feet.]
Bet you could drive a train through here and he wouldn't wake up. He's had a big day.
Thirteen. He doesn't know about Purple Haze. [Bruno glances down at Haruno briefly before looking back at Polnareff.] He hasn't taken Polpo's test yet.
[God knows Fugo doesn't like to talk about his Stand. Maybe this'll be a nice break for him.]

[He means to lie next to Haruno, thus boxing the kid between them. It'll mean shifting everyone around a fair bit, but Haruno's not going to wake up, not for that.]
[Even though it's highly unlikely that Haruno will even begin to stir at any kind of movement, Bruno's still careful to move Haruno with him rather than pull away and then move him back in closer. He leaves a fair amount of room for Polnareff.]
He's still just as anxious, if not more so than usual. He spent that whole first week worrying that I would change my mind and just kick him out.
[Not entirely an irrational feeling, though. Not because Bruno would have kicked him out, but Christ, after being kicked out once, what kid wouldn't think it could happen again?]
You gonna have him help with supper tomorrow? Might help, for here and now.
[He knows where Polnareff is going before he even says it. He almost tells him not to. It seems like the better idea for both of them would be to just let it lie unspoken. But what's the point of not saying it in the end when they're both likely going to thing of it every now and again in the coming days? Bruno gently brushes some of Haruno's hair out of his face.]
[It stings though. It stings being soon after . . . ]
[Yeah, and he wishes he had something better to say to that. Yeah, they're pretty much living on a lie right now; yeah, in about a week or so all the kids are gonna grow up again and their fantasy will be shattered. Yeah, it's a pipe dream, and there's not a thing either of them can do about it.
But . . .]
Tell me what you're gonna do tomorrow, when all the kids wake up.
[He shakes their hands a little, back and forth, playing with Bruno's gently.]
I'll be asleep, unless my darling boyfriend needs a hand in keeping them out of the way. Tell me what our routine is gonna be, with all these kids around.
[Bruno smiles a little as he brings their hands up to kiss Polnareff's knuckles.]
You can sleep. I'll keep them occupied with breakfast.
[Despite the fact that it's already been established somewhat as routine in the short time Fugo's known Bruno, Fugo won't ask to help or offer. He'll be too concerned that he might accidentally be stepping on toes to do that. But that doesn't mean he won't jump at the opportunity once Bruno offers it. Haruno will no doubt be underfoot once he's awake, so giving him a simple task will keep him occupied. As for Kakyoin, well, he might be too shy to really join in with the other two, but Sticky Fingers can keep him occupied if need be.]
After they're done eating though, I'll probably need you to be up and awake to help.
[He'll probably be up anyway, too excited to sleep in, but this is a fantasy, and he's not going to argue. A little idly, he tips his fingers up, brushing them against Bruno's lips, but that's more playful than truly teasing.]
So they'll be all full, and then . . . we can take em out to the park. Make Haruno and Fugo play with Kakyoin, make sure they all run around for a while. Work off all those pancakes or whatever it is you're gonna give em. And you and I can go sit in the shade somewhere and watch em run around.
[And by a little, he means a lot. It's not easy for Fugo to unwind as an older teen, but as a preteen? Bruno didn't see that come out for a very long time.]
Yeah, but it's me. I'm practically built to encourage. If I can get him to go swimming, I can get him to go play. Especially if he's got two kids to look out for, I'll sell him on the responsibility angle.

It'll still be an uphill battle for Polnareff -- more so than usual -- but if there's a victory to be had, he'll find it.] You'll have to try and keep the younger two entertained while I make dinner though.
