[There is a small batch of fresh almond cookies in a fancy black and white tin outside of Bruno's door. On top is placed a red and yellow rose and a note, which is not in Giorno's handwriting. The note reads:]
[If it had just been the note, it might have taken a little more sleuthing to figure out whose handiwork the surprise batch of cookies was from, but the addition of a rose give sit away nearly immediately. Bruno brings the tin inside his room. The note is placed with other such keepsakes, carefully tucked away, and the rose is cared for before he tries a cookie. Unsurprisingly, it's nowhere near bad at all. But while normally he might give his thanks in person, he pulls out his watch instead. This is a little bit of a different set of circumstances.]
I hope you'll pass along my gratitude to Gold Experience.
[He doesn't ask because he's against it or because he's simply curious. Making the decision to try something like this out's a personal decision, and it's simply not in Bruno to not want to check in.]
he said i should be nicer to gold experience so i'm trying to be although well, okay i didn't want to for a really really really really really really really really really long time but i am trying it now
[Bruno knocks, but doesn't wait for Giorno to put a pause on his dramatic sprawling to answer the door and lets himself in. He raises an eyebrow as he comes over to sit on the edge of the bed beside Giorno.]
Are you going to pull through? Or should Fugo and I start working on the funeral arrangements now?
[He puffs up a little and sits up straight. From . . . more or less nowhere, Gold Experience appears, right next to Bruno. The Stand bumps Bruno's shoulder with his own.]
There you are, [Bruno says with a smile, his arm reflexively coming around Gold Experience's shoulders. He's used to Giorno doing the same so often that it's become second nature.]
[Ah--Giorno covers his face with both hands, just for a moment. Bruno is so affectionate so quickly, it's unexpected and very overwhelming. Although Gold Experience shows no such hesitation; he simply hunches his hard shoulders to fit more snugly within the circle of Bruno's arm.]
Muda muda!
[He waves one hand, then pats Bruno's knee lightly. He's happy to see you, too, mom.]
[There'd been a stretch of time where physical affection was quite absent from Bruno's life, which was due to a combination that the beginnings of his team had a preference to avoid it and never went looking for it. It would have been disrespectful in their opinion. Imagine their shock and quiet horror the first time Narancia threw his arms around Bruno. Although he could conceptualize it in his head that there's ranking and hierarchy, Narancia never really saw things that way, and Bruno let it slide. Occasionally he wrapped a loose arm around his shoulders in either brief reassurance or appreciation in a return embrace that never lasted anywhere close to as long as Narancia's clinging, but that was it. And then there was Giorno who looked for an arm around his shoulders rather than trying to hold onto Bruno tightly.]
[At some point, Bruno simply became accustomed to it again, and there was warmth to be had in it once more beyond polite gesture. It's to Gold Experience's benefit and Giorno's embarrassment now, but it's there all the same. Bruno largely ignores Giorno's suffering in favor of his Stand right now. Or maybe that's what he's doing. Who can say? His mind is an enigma.]
It was very kind of you to leave me a present earlier. You did a good job putting it together.
[Bruno is truly a mystery. At least Giorno is bearing up well under the strain. As for Gold Experience, it's clear he's never been so delighted. The praise makes him light up, so much so that his stiff fingers clasp together in his excitement.]
[He murmurs a few more thrilled mudas, then nods fervently at Giorno, who lowers his hands enough to say:] He wants to say. That I helped.

It sounds like it's a good thing you're giving it a try then.
I'll be over in a few minutes.
[This conversation's not over just yet though, kiddo. Just a pause.]

[He'll just sit here consumed with anxiety, sprawled dramatically on his back on his princess bed with one arm thrown over his forehead.]

I will survive. Though I may never be the same again . . .
[DEEP SIGH v__v]
I'm okay though really.

I know you are. You wouldn't be laying like this if you weren't.

[He quirks a slightly rueful smile.]
You like me even though you think I'm silly, though.

[No even though.]
