I'm not sure that's entirely possible. [Bruno pulls away from the hug some to sit facing Giorno a little better.] I know you don't see it the same way that I do. You see it as a given that I should have a place with you because of all that we went through together and because we are famiglia, but that's not enough, Giorno. My time has come and gone, and you don't need me as you used to.

So, whether you recognize it as one or not, you made a conscious decision that you want me here, and I will always be grateful for that.

[To his credit, he does listen to this, even if he seems pretty crestfallen that Bruno's pulled away. A moment later, though, he's frowning again.]

. . . It doesn't seem like a choice. Not that I don't believe you, I just . . .

[He taps his own chest with a knuckle.]

This is where you belong.

[Bruno smiles. As always, it's understated if one is just looking at the shape of his mouth, barely more than a slight curve of lips, but it shines brilliantly in his eyes.]

And that's where I'll always be.

Of course you will.

[It's always so nice when Bruno smiles. It happens so rarely, but it feels warm all the same, like sitting in a patch of sun long enough to start drowsing. Giorno curls up close again, pulling Bruno's arm tighter around him.]

So you have to let me spoil you.

Even if I were to say no, I don't believe you're going to give me much choice in the matter.

[He's teasing, of course, as he lets Giorno settle back in, but there is some truth to that. When it comes to demonstrating his affection, Giorno doesn't believe in half-measures.]
